April 11, 2016 When It Falls

It is a new day. Thanks to the heavens we get to begin again each new day as a gift. It is Saturday and 2 weeks since my first weekly injection with WW and I’m down 8 pounds. Some of you might say that seems like a lot, but there is a lot to go, and it may very well be mostly water.

It is a scientific project for me; it’s not just calories, but a mixture of foods that WW has put together. My biggest habits that I have changed are eating quite a bit more protein and our 3 day a week exercise and lifting weights habits. Our groceries have changed also, I haven’t been buying flour tortillas for casa Dias, nor Asian noodles for soups as much and I am sure there are other things if I think about it I would put here. Hardboild eggs are a go-to for both hunger and protein. With WW they are counted as a zero-point food.

The dynamics with my husband have changed also. It will be interesting to see how this evolves. He is a smart man; smarter than I am and I am given to evolving and changing in my life in dramatic ways; not for the faint of heart. This is the 16th year we are together, and we have made it this far. 😂

I still have my go to morning coffee, half a scoop of chocolate Slimfast, a scoop of no sugar added Swiss Miss, Splenda and mini marshmallows. It’s a lot of WW points for this drink but I’m keeping it. It puts me in the right mood in the morning.

I canceled my math class and asked my boss who is currently out of office if for a quarter I could take a leave of absence for a portion of my workdays to have time to study for my class. I may plan this for my future. The level of math now requires 21 hours a week for study and for now it is a bit too much. It is delayed and it will take some planning ahead.

I hope this finds you well. Thank you.
