August 19, 2026 I Just Like It
The video is of our day moon two hours before moon set in Western Washington today.
Our next addition to our videography is a simple gimble for our GoPro for our website Dswh33360Journey.com and my YouTube Channel @dswh33360 My Journey. For quick video out in nature, we use our DJI drone, GoPro and iPhone 17 Pro. We need things that pack up quickly and can travel and not take up too much room. I also have a larger camera and lighting I hope to use more, but it is used more in a formal setting. I’m hoping to perhaps use it in newsworthy shoots in the near future.
I slept a bit today, but I seemed to have a lot of energy tonight, so I woke up and got things done. I finished applying for jobs for the week. Some of them were checking in with companies that I applied to a couple months ago due to their recent openings again. I also found a news company that I admire that I might like to do some nighttime news camera work for. I heard from them that they may have an opportunity.
We are getting excited about our upcoming vacation. We plan to shoot drone videos, GoPro videos, and use other small cameras. My husband has not traveled as much as I have, and it will be a new place for him. I’ve lived in Florida, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and Washington state. I’ve traveled all over the USA, Canada and Mexico. I’ve been very fortunate to see a lot of places and to have friends in these places. My life truly has been blessed in many ways. My careers in life have been just as varied. I was able to show up to new places in the country and find varied work. I never said no. I believe it has given me the ability to know and relate to a variety of different kinds of people. My best friends are very different from me in the deepest kind of ways, but we all have a compassion and empathy for creation, creatures and people in our own ways. Maybe this is how we are similar.
I’m not an excitement seeker, at least I am not aware of it; but I am a team worker. I love creating videos as a team with someone or many. I don’t have an answer as to the why, I just know it makes me happy.
