Those who know me know I enjoy flowers especially roses, so perfect in their imperfection. Flawless in their beauty. I love beautiful things. Like roses, beauty doesn’t just come often by chance but with love and self discipline. I read a very very old proverb this morning in my meditative time that struck me that is so true; “those who disregard discipline despise themselves…” I include ancient writings as well as other books in my meditative times because of this. I have discipline in many ways in my life, like in work and school, but in some personal ways I need to heed discipline where I struggle with this. Another notable wise words I have heard “progress, not perfection…” which I think for me means make progress in whatever you do. Don’t get paralyzed by the perfection not already being there. You might have roses in your hands and just need to pause long enough to look at them and enjoy them. 😊Thank you.
