October 11, 2025 Old Wineskins or Pliable New Wineskins

I had to do a little searching to find our moon this morning. It was behind some clouds in the Pacific NW and was on our back balcony this morning. I will need to look more when it gets light out to see if we have a day moon today also. I’m getting into math that I don’t remember doing in the past in my studies. They are all refresher courses, but it may be that they are also so updated that math has become so much more complex since I last took it which was years ago. Granted I’m getting A’s, but I am studying my backside off. Every new chapter I come to I hear my inner child say, “there is no way I can do this, I’m an artist” and the adult in me says “you can do this, just read another page and see another tutorial video.”; then I score a 98 on whatever I achieved. Granted that 98 score may come to an end soon but for now what looks impossible seems to become possible when I continue to expose my brain to new foreign concepts. I feel like I’m stretching and creating new brain cells and in essence a new person is kissing the old person good-bye. Maybe the heavenly realms will let me take the treasures from the past with me into the future. Not physical treasures, but treasures of creativity, artistry and inspiration and bring them forward with the new logically inspired self I’m developing. Just me getting poetic in my struggle. It reminds me of an ancient saying for those familiar with wine making. In the ancient days people of old put fresh wine into new wineskins. As the wine aged and fermented it would transform the wineskins.  The wineskins would become hard in holding the aged wine. Whenever new wine was made, they would put new wine in new soft wineskins that were pliable to the wine as it aged. The people of ancient days would never put new wine into old wineskins because it would burst the skins and they would lose the wine. In the same way as a person willing to learn new things I need to have a new mind and be pliable and allow the good changes of knowledge, character and habits to take place. I hope this finds you well. To see videos of the PNW, or to read my blog about my journey, please see dswh33360Journey.com or view our YouTube channel under @dsw33360. Thank you.
