September 6, 2025 Power From Above

It is a typical cloudy early morning in the Pacific NW. My hubby is going up in the mountains to fish at a favorite hidden Mountain Lake we go to. He’ll have the GoPro with him. Thank God it is the weekend. Today will be a self-care day for me. This morning I’m scheduled for a flu shot and 4 other shots that have recently become popular in the last few years. They seemed reasonable for preventative reasons. A little later I will have my roots colored and possibly a pedicure. Maybe I will even go for a massage. I need to cancel a massage membership I’ve paid into for the past year and start using the membership funds that are in that account. College doesn’t start up again until the first week of October. I’ve been putting out a lot of energy and sometimes it’s good just to fill yourself up again. I always think of the airline steward's illustration where if there is plane urgency that you need to put the oxygen mask on yourself first before you can help others with their oxygen masks. So I believe it is so with life if you are one to pour out a lot of energy. I will edit a video from my girlfriend this week from the Western Washington State fair: A popular autumn fair in the Pacific NW. I may work on my Production business as well for a bit. I won’t have all the answers but with good meditative time and prayer I may need to resolve new things as they arrive. I am building this business with time left after a full-time job and one college class a quarter. I’ve been fortunate in my career to work in many varied roles of business from clerical to payroll and billing; web administration, marketing and e-commerce; television and radio production; logistics, warehousing shipping and receiving; customer service; really, God has prepared me to own a small business. At the time that work occurred in my mind I was in survival mode and willing to learn anything. I need to pray for someone to bounce my ideas off from. It just might be a group effort as it is now. I bounce my ideas off of Mike D, my hubby, blue collar laborer; Brad H, my brother, historian and geographer; and my best friend, Kim J, musician and artist and myself. This was a little longer entry. It is a different kind of entry this morning. It is a time to be still and know that the heavens and power from there emanate from its presence. Thank you.
