January 23, 2026 A Week Worthy Of Rest

The video is of our weekend last week.

I wrote an entry on my phone, and it disappeared; frustrating but something that can happen if you don’t have a backup. And it can also be something good if you hadn’t thought it out appropriately, and it was a trial run.  We got back our car last night. The cap on the left driver’s side mirror was replaced after our little outing away on the weekend where it had disappeared.

After that excursion of rental cars and managing insurance, I was exhausted from the week and fell asleep after work. My husband tried to wake me up when we had maintenance workers from the apartment to change some lightbulbs and fix some minor electrical issues. It makes me giggle that he wasn’t able to wake me. Sometimes it is just good for me to not always be there as it can result in personal growth.

Sometimes I “handle” responsibilities and sometimes my body says enough. My body will show me with exhaustion, extra sleep, infection, sickness and I “handle” it with collapsing into sleep, vitamins and prayer. Usually, I manage stressful things typically without emotion, even while others are very emotional, while I methodically work through it, but the stress can show itself later in my body whether it is convenient or not. Last night it was when my husband tried to wake me up with the maintenance workers standing there.  My husband just had to figure it out. Everything got done that needed to get done and I continued to sleep away. I also had to contact an endodontist this week with a top left “canine” tooth. So, I will need to responsibly handle this in the next week.

Oh, I just found the entry on my phone again. It’s trying to upload and seems to be in a holding pattern.  Please pray for those in the middle and Eastern parts of the US as they are going through an upcoming storm that could result in a lot of power outages which is not good with how cold it is.

Also be aware of fraudulent phone voice messages about relatives. Do not believe them until you have contacted your source, which is your relative.  The Fraudsters are just trying to drain your bank account. We had a false worry about a relative this week because of this until we contacted our relative who was just fine.  My husband handled this perfectly by ignoring the fraudulent message sent.  We hope this finds you well. Thank you.
